  1. Heat a pot of oil to 350°F
  2. Bring water, walnuts, and sugar to a boil in a separate pot.
  3. Cook until syrup is thick
  4. Drain walnuts through a sieve
  5. Immediately fry for approx. 4-5 min
  6. Sprinkle with salt as soon as you pull out of the hot oil
  7. Let cool before serving
